Beyonce’s epic country album "Cowboy Carter" becomes the best debut of 2024 and the biggest since Taylor Swift's "1989 (Taylor's Version)" dropped back in 2023.

Not only did it snag the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart, marking her eighth number one album, but she also made history as the first Black woman to rule Billboard's Top Country Albums chart with this gem, the second act in her "Renaissance" trilogy.

Released on March 29, "Cowboy Carter" came in strong, racking up a whopping 407,000 equivalent album units in the US by April 4, according to Billboard and Luminate.

"Cowboy Carter" is all about paying tribute to Beyonce's southern roots, with an all-star lineup featuring country legends like Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson, alongside today's hitmakers like Miley Cyrus and Post Malone.

And let's talk about those collaborations! Parton joins Bey for a killer rendition of "Jolene," putting a fresh spin on her own classic about love and betrayal. Plus, there's a whole fictional radio show vibe with Parton and Nelson as hosts – it's genius!

Critics are loving it, and it's already breaking records on Spotify as the most-streamed album in a single day of 2024.
